From what I remember being in PD 'lesser or equal force' in regards to picking what weapon to use against a criminal was preached. Obviously to make the scenario more enjoyable so both sides have a chance at 'winning' the encounter. Maybe this mentality got lost over time.

My 2 cents as overall feedback.
Remove the lengthy written applications required for joining core factions like PD and FD. In my experience, once someone is accepted, no one actually refers back to what was written in their application. Most of the time, it's a generic backstory with a slight twist and it becomes irrelevant, especially if the player changes their name or creates a new LEO character.

The application process should be simplified. Long, essay-style forms can be a major turn-off for potential new players and might discourage them from sticking around. I understand the concern that this could lead to an influx of less experienced or lower-skilled members joining important factions. But instead of throwing them aside completely, let them in and guide them. Help them improve. I would imagine that it’s far more valuable to mentor a weaker player than to reject them outright and risk losing a potential new long-term member of the community.

As for the field training part, we’ve also taken appropriate steps to ensure it aligns well with the game. It now takes a minimum of 12 days to complete the program and become a full-fledged member of the faction, and a much shorter time to join the faction through recruitment if you are consistently active. We will be testing this new system with the relaunch with plans to open our entry-level recruitment within the first 10 days of the relaunch.

FD are adopting a similar concept as well in regards to hiring, the application is more streamlined without the fear of a narrative section in the application. With having a more centralised focus through the interview more than the application itself so we can assess players RP & English.
 
We'll be (re)(re)opening the doors to Red County Roleplay on June 13th at 7PM GMT! As stated before, the server IP will be server.redcountyrp.com:7777, so add that to your launcher and be ready to connect on day 1.

While we're on the topic of the launcher, I'd like to take this moment to encourage as many people as possible to migrate to the open.mp launcher. The old SA-MP launcher is prone to exploits and RCEs that harm your gameplay experience as well as your computer, so we're encouraging adoption of the open.mp launcher to ensure as smooth of an experience as possible for our players. The open.mp launcher comes equipped with client updates that enhance the security of your connection to SA-MP/opem.mp servers as well as fix numerous bugs found in the original SA-MP client. Please don't procrastinate switching over to the open.mp launcher, as we may some day block connections from vanilla SA-MP clients due to the number of malicious exploits that can be performed through it.

We're not done yet, though. Starting from today, you can now preorder Red Coins and receive 0.5x bonus coins for launch. For example, if you purchase 1,000 red coins, you'll be be awarded an additional 500 on launch day, so take advantage of this offer if you so desire. On top of that, we'll also be giving away 2,000 Red Coins to 5 lucky players who sign in and play for more than an hour on launch day*, so be sure to log in and potentially be rewarded!
