There is a
HUGE improvement on the OP.
Let's say you have 5000 songs on a 64GB USB stick. According to the OP, you have to copy and paste 64GB music worth of data on the User Tracks folder, which is a huge waste of space. But what if you want to listen to a shuffle of all those 5000 songs?
All you need to do is go to the folder that contains all the music files (.mp3, .wav), right click -> Send to -> desktop (create a shortcut) -> copy+paste the shortcut to the User track folder.
The following music folder is a whole SDHC Card (E: ) that contains 500GB worth of music mp3s. Yeah, that is half a terrabyte of music.
The shortcut is placed on the desktop. From there copy and paste (or cut and paste) the shortcut of the whole music collection.
Yep, that is
534 BYTES that represent
HALF A TERRABYTE of music. Then follow the OP guide to rescan the folder in-game from options->audio->rescan->etc.
The above guide is valid for individual files, not only whole folders. Instead of copy-pasting mp3s, paste their shortcuts.
