I honestly do not believe the server can be fixed. While people are offering more reasons as to why the server is failing (Off topic or not) they are being deleted. The community is completely toxic to each other, the admin team is almost an absolute disgrace. The economy is absolute shit and there have been no attempts to actually fix it.

RCRP is all talk. "Lets get together and overcome this... Okay.. Who's gonna go first? Not me." then nothing gets done, I've seen this complaint within the mapping team, from testers before Booth quit and shortly after he came back. There are bugs that have been haunting the server for years that have only been amplified.

The script is heavily out of date, I know it is being revamped constantly but it isn't enough for one scripter to do alone. The administration team does not communicate well enough with the public at all, there are complaints dating back to the 14th of May; Ban appeals from the 3rd of May; Refunds from the 29th of April but uh.. All donations have been replied to...

5 stickies in the general OOC, the admin team as a whole is completely unprofessional in the way it displays it's attitude. Behind closed doors no one gives a fuck but for a global topic to say "Hey guys.. I dont have cancer" and last 5 months is disgraceful.

People that have had their posts deleted are right, completely right. There has been a lack of a full penal code since before I left back god knows when and the FBI hasn't done anything other than a recruitment drive and a few spots of activity since it's addition.

The community swarms around the appeal of power, the appeal, not the responsibility. We are seeing this with a lot of players and admins. I can't blame you for trying to keep the Server alive Evans; but considering your lack of effort-... here I can't help but think there is way more than a smidgen of utter disrespect to those actively trying.

Not pointing fingers at anyone. These are examples.

Just... This.

Accept it or not.. This is really overall how things are.

Rcrp really is dying, and we are all watching it die. Us that don't have the power to make changes watch in disappointment, and try to get our voices heard.

And from the outside, it seems like not much is being done on the inside.

With all due respect to TommyB and the admin team, I agree with Karner that professionalism is lacking in a huge way. I feel like every time I read "We want to hear your voices as a community", I voice my opinion and am quite literally shown that it doesn't matter that much. Some call the year change a small example but quite frankly i'm still a little sour about that.

Putting the reason for the change aside, It was decided by an unofficial outdated poll. After making another unofficial poll and voicing opinions, the poll had more voters and more No's to the decision. What happened? "Deal with it. It's happening already." Despite the arguments made, this was the most frequent response. This is just one example, take it as you will.

To be completely honest, we need a new leader. A fresh face, someone who can really make a change. I respect TommyB, but at this point in time, I'm not sure if I respect his leadership.

Maybe RCRP can become a democracy instead of a dictatorship? The community and Admin team vote for a new leader who meets qualifications? I don't know. Something. Because, If we continue just talking and not doing anything, this community will perish completely.

We have good people here that want change, but don't have the power to do it. We also have good people that want change who do have the power to do it. So, its time for someone to haul their asses past Go already and make a saving move.

Unless someone jumps to the table and takes initiative, RCRP cannot be saved.

I am one of the few people who can help improve Red County Roleplay and clearly I'm going wrong somewhere but I guess over the next few weeks RC:RP will require my full undivided attention and that is what it shall get. All I can do right now is apologise for not helping how I should and let you know that I will at the very least do my best to begin to bring changes.

Unless you have power over Tommy to refrain him from acting like he is now, or get rid of him RCRP is doomed in my opinion-.. or at least.. There won't be anything you can do on your own to fix it, and most likely a lot more opinions besides mine.

The server is in a slump now. The reason? It's boring. Yes, people aren't creative and do not contribute to the server one bit, bit even if they did, it still would be boring. Maybe a little less.
It seems like it's dying, but this time for real. Why? I'll tell you why. And it didn't happen over night, it was happening over the course of the past few years. It all began when we slowly started transitioning towards more of a strict RP style.

Remember the good old days when people weren't bitching and RPing to win, but were having fun and didn't care about being famous/becoming admins/helpers/whatever? The era of the gangs, like Blue Dynasty and La Onda, all the good shit. Yeah, you probably don't.
Everything that was fun in this server was removed/descripted or is gone for the sake of "more realism".
Then the master account applications were introduced, who knows how many players would RCRP now have if that didn't happen.
Good folk left, great Roleplayers who had great leadership skills and could lead factions -> great factions died because the founding members have left.
The hitman faction was descripted because nobody gave a shit or listened to the members cries for years when they asked for scripts or updates of ANY sort. Eventually, some memebers couldn't be bothered anymore, so they started abusing faction commands and fucking around because there was hardly anything else to do, thus the faction earned the bad reputation. We literally had the same commands since early 2010 until the period when Karner was a developer so he scripted a few more things for us.
A lot of good people left in the meanwhile, people who constantly created RP.
So much happened in the meanwhile that I can't even keep track off, but one of the more recent events that had a huge impact on the server - Aperture being descripted. The only faction truly unique to RCRP. That hit the server pretty bad even if it doesn't seem like it - as much as you like to deny it. Half if not more of the most active players were in Aperture OR trying their best to get noticed so they could join, because everyone knew it was fun in there. Once it was removed, many people left or stopped playing as actively as they did, myself included.

So what's left nowadays?

In all honesty though, he's right. What's the point anymore?
With Donum Dei, and now Aperture gone, there's no point in RP'ing shit as you're not going to get noticed by any of the fun and secret factions, honestly.. That's what motivated me a lot of the time, was due to the fact I wanted to impress these Roleplay'ers.
Now, you're either an Administrator, a wannabe Administrator, Helper, Tester, or troll, everything else has no meaning, whatsoever.

Absolutely nothing.

I remember the days when Me; Brian; Phil and Mugel fought off 21 cops on the bridge, they came back and we killed them again. We didn't moan that they came back and they didn't moan that they died twice. It just happened and we laugh about it. When huge gang wars took place JUST because the gangs wanted to fight, with or without an RP reason it was allowed and was completely RPed when it happened. People sold faction weapons but when they got caught they got punished by the faction leader ICly and OOCly.

There was no furniture, no extensive mask system. RCRP was classic.

Yeah, and that's what's wrong with a lot of people, k secretz factionz gone, yolo no need to RP anymore, I can't become one of them. RP should be done for fun not to join some secret faction as if you've finished a storyline of a game or whatever. Go play singleplayer if you want that. Your arguements are invalid.
