Red County Roleplay - Robbing and Scamming Rules
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Robbery requirements
It can be difficult for new players to make money in the server and we feel that there should be some protection for new players to get settled before having to cope with getting their money stolen, therefor the player being robbed / scammed MUST be level three or higher, aswell as the one robbing / scamming.
In the interest of fairness it is not allowed to commit a robbery while there's no SP members online (can be checked via /factiononline). This applies only for simple robbery scenarios (approaching an unsuspecting player, robbing them and leaving afterwards), it is still allowed to commit a robbery and other criminal acts if they're a result of a roleplay scenario already in progress.
House/vehicle burglaries
When committing a burglary on a house it may only be done for Roleplay purposes. Meaning you may not force the owner to hand over his or her items to you just because you robbed their house, unless the owner himself says otherwise. IF you are going to commit a burglary you need to think about the following rules:
- At least three people would have to participate in a house burglary. Only one person is required minimum for a vehicle burglary.
- You must have a van, or a vehicle with a large trunk to perform house burglaries.
- Have screenshots. In case the person asks for screenshots of the burglary.
- The owner of the house you're robbing needs to be online, and you should PM him and ask information about the house you are about to rob to avoid Powergaming. The house could have an alarm for example.
EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE:
Both cops and regular players are able to steal/seize items from a house or vehicle if they directly witnessed it being stored. This means a player might have to temporary /sell a house or unlock a trunk of a vehicle to let the burglar/robber take the items.
You might be required to present screenshot or video proof of witnessing the player storing their goods.
Money
When robbing somebody of their money, you may not exceed the amount of $10,000, however you may only rob up to $5,000 if you are forcing someone to take money from any of their assets or their bank account.
You may not rob someone by pretending to sell assets like vehicles, houses or businesses. By letting that person get the money from his bank, just to rob him afterwards. However, this is still allowed when selling illegal items like weapons, drugs or materials.
When scamming somebody of their money, you may not exceed the amount of $50,000. You may not use the auctions to scam someone of their money. You cannot scam for more than $50,000 only to then give the difference back to the player you scammed.
Weapons
Weapons do not have a value and instead we enforce what type of weapons can be robbed and scammed.
You may rob or scam the following:
9mm Pistol, Desert Eagle, Shotgun, MP5, M4 Assault Rifle, Tec-9, Uzi, AK-47, Country Rifle, Shovel, Baseball Bat, Golf Club, Flowers, Spray Can, Nightstick, Dildo, Vibrator.
You are not allowed to rob or scam the following:
SPAS-12, Sniper Rifle, Knife, Silenced Pistol, Grenade, Sawn-off Shotgun, Fire Extinguisher, Chainsaw, Katana.
You may not be in possession of any of the following weapons:
SPAS-12, Sniper Rifle, Knife, Silenced 9mm, Grenade, Sawn-off Shotgun, Fire Extingusher.
Unless you are in any of the factions mentioned below:
San Andreas State Police
Aperture
San Andreas County Fire Department
Vehicles
Vehicle scams are allowed, but only at the value of the vehicle at dealership price. If the vehicle is worth more than $50,000 in the dealership, then it is ineligible to be scammed.
All vehicle scams must be liaised ICly and cannot be discussed OOCly (for example; Player A (seller) is selling a vehicle to player B (scammer). Player B asks in /b for Player A to sell the vehicle using the command for $1 and that they will write a cheque.) All scams must be fully roleplayed in character.
You are allowed to temporarily steal any vehicle from a player by having them hand over the keys to you. The player has to use /givesharedkey, and you are expected to give a realistic estimate on how long you will be using the vehicle.
Miscellanelous
You are not allowed to steal a fish crate off a player unless it holds 50 fishes or less.
You are not allowed to steal a briefcase (or its contents) off a player, unless they're specifically holding it in their hand. Refer to the briefcase rules in the main rules thread for more information.
Factions/Jobs
Some factions have a /weapons command scripted, and their members receive guns for free due to the faction's status. They may not be robbed/scammed under any circumstances. You may NOT steal from faction vehicles that are registered to the factions below. You are also not allowed to steal weapons or items from the headquarters of the factions below. This includes but is not limited to the SASP.
You may not steal any weapons from members of the following:
San Andreas State Police (With the exception of the nitestick)
Aperture
San Andreas County Fire Department
As well as Factions you may not rob someone that is ACTIVELY on duty for the following jobs and side jobs without admin permission:
Taxi Driver
Bus Driver
Sweeper
Trucker
Pizza Delivery
Coal Miner
Trash Collector
Disclaimer: the rule is no longer in effect if the player brings the robbery upon themselves. A taxi driver picking up a customer from your hood may not be robbed, but a taxi driver trying to sell drugs out of their cab while on your hood may be robbed. You are also not allowed to abuse the taxi job in order to take your customer to a faraway place in order to rob them.
Admin permission is not continuous. Each situation is different and requires admin permission.
