A thing that facebook has done has kind of fucked the news feed up. If you can't see the updates from us on facebook then I got the fix for you.
Scroll down to the bottom of the newsfeed on the homepage (aka your "wall") and click on "Edit Options", click on "Show Posts From" and change the setting to "All Of Your Friends and Pages".
