How to see my FPS?

Hi, I'm trying to find a key or anything to see my FPS.
Someone told me to use * On numlock, but didn't work at all.
Could anyone help me? I'm trying to find out with how much fps i'm playing.

If all you are wanting to do is check your frames per second whilst playing you can download Fraps as the two above me have said.

This is the free version and cannot record your screen for longer than thirty seconds as far as I'm aware, however it is handy for checking out your frames per second as well as screenshots (Up to a 1000 in the folder).
Just simply run Fraps then open up SA:MP and your FPS will be displayed up in the top left corner in clear yellow writing.
