Robin said:Let's say that Gang X wants to attack Gang Y.
Gang X = 3 members, Gang Y = 6 members.
Gang X and Gang Y are rivals, but as soon as Gang X passes by the hood of Gang Y, sees them hanging around and stuff, they can't attack them because of the ratio rules.
This is pretty unrealistic, because IRL both gangs would probably begin shooting eachother already as soon as the rivals drive through their hood.
Gang X also knows that they are way stronger than Gang Y and can easily defeat them. Even if it's three vs. six. Thing is; With the current rules, they can't do anything.
Now, with the removal of the ratio rule, Gang X can actually risk it and attack Gang Y, even though Gang X is outnumbered. It's their risk, their gamble, all RPed and can stay IC.
Basically, the ratio rules (Gang rule number 1 & 2) have been restricting the roleplay between gangs quite a lot, many seemingly pointless complaints have been made, and many, many /b wars erupted because of them - and we, the admin team, have decided that it's the time to put them to an end.
From now on you're allowed to attack any amount of gang members you desire, alone or in a group, it may be you attacking three unarmed enemies, and it may be you and ten of your homies attacking a single enemy - the only restriction is the fear you have to roleplay properly. Have in mind that the other gang rules are still there, and that you have to respect them.
Hopefully the removal of these rules will bring a more enjoyable environment for the gang members, and that OOC whining when it comes to gang attacks will be lowered to the strict minimum.
Sincerely
RCRP Administration.
