How long does it usually take for an application to be reviewed?
Also how long is long enough for a character story?

24 to 48 hours usually.

In my opinion a good character story has more than 150 words(around 200-250) but depends how can you cover your character life before coming in Red County in words, about the relatives, living conditions, the reason of moving etc.
