Hi everyone,
After almost a year of reflection, development and inner working, we’re here to announce that Red County Roleplay is back, baby and it’s gonna be tasty. This is more than a reboot/relaunch, this is a new chapter built on the lessons learned from the previous iteration. Focused on a new vision and a commitment to you for a more enjoyable, player-focused environment. We are currently aiming to relaunch the server sometime in June but we do not have a proper date planned yet. Once we have, it will be announced in this topic and on our Discord server.
Server IP will be server.redcountyrp.com:7777 as usual and we urge you to join our Discord (if you haven't already) to keep up with upcoming news and announcements: https://discord.gg/ByXWWtE
We also recommend installing the open.mp client here https://github.com/openmultiplayer/launcher/releases/tag/v1.5.2 as the default SA:MP client has many issues and exploits that the new and modern open.mp client fixes.
Over the past few months, behind the scenes, we’ve taken your feedback seriously and put all our heads together to make this a better experience for all, here’s what you can look forward to.
We’ve had a look at some of the issues from the previous iteration of the server and restructured the team to ensure better transparency, communication and responsiveness. We also understand the previous relaunch pushed a lot of people away for one reason or another so we would like to invite those people to please reach out to us, let us know what soured your experience last time and what we can do to ensure this doesn't happen again. With the changes has come some new roles but some of the same faces will remain.
The Faction Administration or Management had its issues but with the new Faction Support team, we should see a whole new or at least helpful way to assist factions in their goals rather than restrict them.
The Community Relations team will make its return, for the first few weeks of the servers reopening, we will be asking for feedback on things that are good, bad and down right terrible and passing this on to the correct teams. This way we can take a broader look through the eyes of the players and adapt the server to their needs, within reason. At the end of the day, without you, the server does not survive.
Asset Management has undergone a full review and upgrade. New systems and features are being rolled out to enhance your roleplay opportunities.
So, let's talk about what's new and what to expect.
RP Direction – From ultra realistic approach to immersion-based approach
We’ve also heard your feedback about the heaviness of RP standards in the past. The ultra-realistic direction made some feel restricted, punished for creativity, or unable to play within a believable but enjoyable world.
With this in mind, we’re moving toward a Medium-Heavy RP philosophy. This means:
Faction Management
We’re excited to announce some major improvements to how we support and interact with factions on the server. These changes are all about promoting fairness, collaboration, and creativity while reducing toxicity and confusion.
First, we’re rebranding Faction Management to Faction Support, because this was never about managing or controlling, it’s about supporting your ideas and helping your faction succeed. We’re also launching the Faction Support Desk - a centralized, moderated hub where all faction-related concerns, feedback, and ideas can be shared respectfully and constructively.
Furthermore - we’re reworking the Faction Consultants into Faction Advisors - people who are here to help, not to regulate. They’ll focus on assisting your faction with events, threads, and portrayal, offering guidance, media support, and RP inspiration. They’re not here to punish. They’re here to help you thrive.
Finally, the Faction Administration Team will focus on oversight, ensuring fairness, keeping the structure intact, and stepping in only when needed - particularly with rulebreaks or RP that’s in a gray area.
This is a move toward transparency, structure, and positive collaboration. We want factions to feel important, heard, and supported.
Thanks for being a part of this. We’re looking forward to seeing factions flourish like never before.
OFFICIAL FACTIONS WHO WERE OFFICIAL IN THE PREVIOUS RELAUNCH: Talk to @Slipky should you want to return. If all will be well, you'll resume with your official status present. That goes for non-government legal factions and illegal factions only, at the moment, since the Gov/LE side is currently facing a big change as is.
If you're a potential faction leader that wants to sign up or talk about things, feel free to join our Discord at https://discord.gg/ByXWWtE. We'd love to get in contact with leaders of potential factions to gather feedback and ideas.
Red County Sheriff's Department Changes
As most of you who have previously played on RCRP are aware, the server's law enforcement faction scene was never without its issues and drama. Throughout the past few years there have been several iterations of such factions; SASP, BCSO and LSSD to name a few. With RCRP's relaunch however, and considering the fact that extreme realism is no longer the server's priority, we decided to create a new faction that would incorporate various traits of all former ones and which would house LE roleplayers of both ends (semi-realistic and realistic).
Hence, the Red County Sheriff's Department (RCSD) was formed. The faction's leadership team currently consists of @HeyItsTJ (Assistant Sheriff), @klaus. (Undersheriff) and @Heinrich (Sheriff). RCSD's aim is to provide a welcoming environment for both former SASP and LSSD players, which is evident from the people that currently fill our roster. We understand that players come from different backgrounds, with different experiences and preferences, which is why we are focusing on being structured with a certain level of flexibility in mind. While we will no longer be striving for ultra realism, we absolutely want to maintain quality of roleplay, especially when it comes to specialized sectors, i.e. Investigations, Special Operations, and so on.
In the coming days, we will be opening up reinstatements for former members of all RCRP LE factions who wish to partake in law enforcement roleplay once more. We highly encourage anyone with interest and experience to apply, as I firmly believe that nearly everybody has something to offer. We're very excited to see where RCSD goes from here and we hope you'll join us on this new chapter!
Asset Management
Asset Management have been working to overhaul the way businesses work as well as the way they are managed on the server.
Previously the servers business scene has been stagnant with a great many of the servers businesses being hoarded for their hourly payouts. The new system we’re working on will instead pay players for opening their businesses and actively using them for roleplay.
We’ll also be launching with a streamlined system for business leasing, the aim of this will be to make businesses more accessible for newer players as well as poorer players. A separate announcement with more information will be released in the coming weeks.
Server Development
Red County Roleplay will relaunch with version 4.3 front and center. This update brings the revolutionary new inventory UI alongside the following features:
While some of you may be upset that we're not relaunching with a new drug system, it simply wasn't worked on whatsoever during the server's hiatus. By the time talks of attempting another relaunch started, I had completely forgotten where I left off on the system and what work still needed to be done. As an interim change, I went back and made some small changes to the existing (legacy) drugs to give a slightly better user experience. At the moment, the drug system that was in the works is more or less scrapped. It'll still sit around disabled in the server's codebase in the event that we ever feel like continuing with that particular system. For now, the legacy drugs will be maintained and updated. We'll likely introduce additional drugs to this system as well shortly after launch.
I'd also like to introduce two new game developers. Firstly we have @toni returning to assist with game development again alongside Elkspirit.
Toni has begun work on improving some aspects of the business system which will be revealed at a later date.
Elkspirit will be heading the efforts of new drugs and improvements to existing ones. Shortly after launch, he will be opening a public dialogue with the community discussing his plans for drug updates and hopefully receive constructive feedback as well.
We look forward to working on even more awesome features for players to enjoy and hope you'll stop by again and give us a chance.
Banned Players
If you have gotten banned during the last re-launch or even before that, we urge you to please post a ban appeal here. Most people will be given a second chance but if you are community banned or banned for serious offenses, there is a very small chance you will be unbanned.
So, whether you are a returning player or brand new to the server, we invite you to join us for the relaunch of RCRP. We look forward to seeing you guys on the server and engaging in some good old fashioned SAMP fun.
Stay tuned for the launch date and previews from the teams and development about what’s to come.
Thank you,

With this in mind, we’re moving toward a Medium-Heavy RP philosophy. This means:
- We still care about realism and immersion but not at the cost of fun, flexibility, or fluid storytelling.
- We’re taking a more player-first approach, meaning - not every scene needs to feel like a documentary, but it should still feel grounded and believable.
- Our goal is to balance structure and freedom, encouraging strong RP without crushing your ability to enjoy the game.

Server Development
Red County Roleplay will relaunch with version 4.3 front and center. This update brings the revolutionary new inventory UI alongside the following features:
- Dynamic faction system. Groups of 3 or more players will be able to create their own factions completely in-game and have full access to membership management traditionally reserved for official factions. Alongside the new faction system, all faction-centric features have been updated to be per-faction unlockable features. This means that any faction can have any faction feature assigned to it during server runtime (mostly). Please note that all faction and server rules and regulations apply when creating factions. Government factions are not allowed without approval under any circumstances. Faction creation is monitored and anyone who makes an unapproved government faction or a faction with a blatantly stupid/trollish name will be disbanded without warning.
- Updated drug system. This is not the drug rewrite, it's simply an interim update while we start over on the new system, which will be detailed a bit more later on in this post. For now, I've gone back through the legacy drugs and made the following changes.
- All drugs now have their base values stored as floats (decimal numbers).
- Drug usage amounts have been adjusted so players aren't using whole grams at a time. For instance, smoking weed with a bong will subtract 0.3 grams from your stash.
- Cocaine and crack grades have been removed. Both drugs now simply have one variant for the sake of simplicity and the fact that factions only bought the high-end variants anyway.
- All drugs have been wiped from the server. This is due to how decimal support in the underlying inventory system was achieved.
- Driver's licenses have been completely rewritten from the ground up with the following changes now available:
- Each license can now have the following states: valid, suspended, expired and revoked.
- Valid licenses are, as the name implies, valid and clean licenses with no infractions
- Suspended licenses are licenses that have been temporarily suspended by law enforcement. Suspension time increments have been changed from in-game hours played to real-life days with a maximum of 14 days.
- Expired licenses are licenses that have expired due to "old age." Licenses now expire every 30 days and will need to be renewed at the DMV.
- Revoked licenses are licenses that have been completely revoked by law enforcement. Players with revoked license cannot resit any driving tests.
- Your character's license will now show in the inventory UI and can be viewed or shown to others via the action menu
- Each license can now have the following states: valid, suspended, expired and revoked.
- Various trash cans around the map can now be used throw inventory items away.
- More that will be revealed later on
While some of you may be upset that we're not relaunching with a new drug system, it simply wasn't worked on whatsoever during the server's hiatus.
