Where do we go from here?

You guys need to understand that number of players now is causing a domino effect. What I mean is that if the server is going to keep having less and less players, other players aren't going to join. Think about it, would you want to play on a server that's empty and you can't interact with people? No. That's just straight up boring and people would avoid playing on that server.

In all honesty, I can't seem to have hope for the server because nobody, including me, would give in the effect to help this server when we never see huge results in the past.

What RC:RP really needs to stop is the 'friendship circle'. I have nothing big against it but what I really dislike is the benefits they get for just 'being friends'. They wouldn't have to work for it nor spend their whole time on the server. This example shows the disadvantages to other players who tries to earn it, but those players don't get it because of the friendship circle. To sum it up, stop giving away power to people who don't earn it. Money is power, ranks is power, leadership roles is power. This post can relate to factions, administration, helper team, usergroup and 'friends'.

Please, do not deny what's true. If other people multiply complain about this problem, it should be taken in action.

This is funny. You're all ganging up on one community member for stating their opinion. In my eyes puppy is completely right other than the "The Circle" point.

Castorr, Charles. Those were completely childish ways to present your arguments. Tommy, stop being a sarcastic twat just because one person wants you to hand it down. The 2156 words you typed were just negated by your dumbass attitude displayed in your posts against puppy.

I haven't read the entire argument and from what I've seen I don't really need to. I am actually appalled to the point of laughing with you guys. It is arguments like this that bring the integrity of the server down.

@Tommy in regards to BigDs deleted post about you and him causing a "loss of reputation" for the admin team" he's done a damnsight lot more in regards to holding the reputation than most. You really can't accuse him of that when you present arguments like your most recent. I mean almost literally taking the piss out of someone's English when they've learnt more than one to begin with.

@Kemp it wasn't aimed at you specifically, these things happen to me on a somewhat regular basis, had I been any other player that wouldn't have happened.

Well after reading through the posts one of the main issue's seems to be the a-team at the moment?
What would you like us to change, some people want us to be less strict and some say we should be more strict.. I can't really do much with this kind of info as it's conflicting with eachother.
And we're trying to be as nice as possible, but when people treat you like you're their dog then you'd be annoyed by it as well :(

Here are a couple of suggestions that may help.

1. As pointed out in a topic before: Give newer players 'smaller' punishments and older player harsher ones. The veterans of the server should know what is allowed and what isn't. If they screw up, sucks to be them. Newer players however are still getting accustomed to the server, go and PM them if they screw up, or if an a-jail is required, tell them what they're doing wrong. I've seen people get ajailed for non-RP offroad over and over, but if they don't know what is allowed then they can never improve.

2. Get certain admins motivated again. I've heard (not directly from the admins themself and I won't call any names) that a certain admins can't be bothered to log in to the server because the bugs/nothing to do/no enjoyment. I'm sorry but how can people enjoy playing on a server that even the admins can't be bothered to be playing on?

3. I've said this before and I will say this again: Host more events. Not OOC ones, not "IC" forced ones. But really IC ones. Let me point you to this topic: http://redcountyrp.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 9#p1202659 . I've already seen admin support on this but it would be awesome if they could actually work this out. Also try to help out if a faction -legal, illegal, official or unofficial- attempts to host an event. These are the things that actually bring the community together.

4. Get the complaints/Unbans/refunds dealt with ASAP. I'm not going to give an argument for this because I ran out of words. :hmm:

1. 2 years of waiting for 2.0 update + it was based on bug fixes
2. you can earn more money with doing side jobs than role playing with faction. If you change the faction payments everyone are going to join some faction and get money for actually doing some rp and not doing side jobs,
3. Admins and SASP, focus on IG, everything you do is over the forums. Why we need to post request for faction vehicles for example? We need to wait few days someone to check up that, then few more to respond and then few days again to get the vehicles IG. Requesting them IG with assistance was way more easier.
4. Stop just promising that you're going to script anything. 2 years of waiting to get one interior - the main reason why John Hendersson left and the change of the CEO's started.

Admin team should be more transparant in their way of doing stuff, all I hear them hiding behind is the fact that it's all behind closed doors. We're a community so the members should have a saying in most of the things that happen on the server.

Be more strict with punishments and don't unban people 1 day later cause they're ass licking and you've all of a sudden realised what a good person he is.

Remove the 'heavy rp' dream everyone's believing in, we're more of a light rp server with some heavy rp aspects right now.

Fix the script, take your time to fix every bug you can possibly find, most bugs right now aren't because of the 'server conditions'. Don't be affraid to roll back to an older script if the current 1 is filled with bugs that'll be abused or are an annoyance.

And stop deleting members their posts, not just talking about mine. They might not be the nicest but they are true most of the time.

My 2 cents.

It's not a case of being strict or less strict. It's about activity, haste and being reliable; barely any admins are reliable.

1. I am total agreement but we did have a rough transition so I can understand.
2. Again, I totally agree. I am rank 7 in SASP and I get $700 a payday... I can make $1000 of running sweepers every 30 minutes... What's more realistic? A part time job paying more, or a full time career?
3. Valid point, although, I'm pretty sure we have to pay for those vehicles out of faction bank. Which TommyB needs to take and delete.
4. Developing can be difficult and that's why I've always been for keeping development progress/news behind closed doors. Once Booth or someone releases a single word, people flip shit and go all out and cannot wait. Honestly, people need to chill the fuck out, it's just an update... I think the dev team also needs a good mapper who will regularly update the map and keep things fresh. The world is forever changing and if we have good mapping with new houses, public places, and generic buildings it will increase the urge to go out and check these places out. I say we should add and remap alot of Red County, only because anything outside of RC is never used. So I guess, I'm agreeing with you again, they shouldn't promise any updates until the testers clear it to work.
