VPN Usage

People still use VPN for private purposes. A lot of people uses VPN to protect themselves from attacks etc. It's like stores selling papers for cones. It's allowed, because it has other purposes, and it's just paper.
 
Virtual Private Networks are indeed blacklisted from the server's firewall, for obvious reasons.

Usage of VPNs require explicit approval from Management (TommyB and fr0st are the preferred points of contact). Once you have approval, you will need to contact either TommyB or fr0st to have your VPN's IP address whitelisted. Bear in mind that your network needs to have a static IP address, as they are not going to handle your concern if your network provider could only service dynamic IP address.
 
I'm honestly having a problem since last year which then I ended up having to stop playing the game, I keep getting disconnected due to my own IP address and I've actually tested it on another SAMP roleplay server and I get disconnected every 5-20 seconds only using a VPN fixes my problem but they eventually banned my account then later on said I cannot use VPN and unbanned me, Even they didn't know how to fix my issue but I searched for multiple fixes from english to spanish to russian to even though I only speak english and turkish I was able to figure out that only VPN's fix it, So since I didn't wan't to break rules on RCRP server and I've been playing since 2016 but due to this disconnection issue I was very frustrated and pissed so I quit but now I saw that my cousin was playing he doesn't have the issue as much but he gets disconnected every 30min -1 hr but I guess that is just normal I messaged Fr0st and TommyB in hopes of getting permission to use VPN, I am willing to even let them open Teamviewer on my computer to check for anything, they can also see my original IP which I won't post here but it will be messaged to them privately. (If asked for)
 
You are not allowed to use a VPN without permission from me or Tommy. There's specific guidelines/rules for using them. One is that it must have a static IP address that's only assigned to you.

I understand fully that some of you may use it to fix port forwarding, routing issues, or just general security. So we do allow them if permission is granted and you are able to meet the guidelines.

If it's not obvious, we ban VPN's to prevent people from ban evading and improve the overall RC-RP experience. We do care about your privacy/security, so please PM me if you'd like permission to use one and I'll let you know what's needed for that.

Yeah exactly, for the use of RCRP I don't see any reason in having it off. It makes sense with van evasion to be fair. Nah I'm actually glad you guys all came together with your responses! Out of respect for the server and staff there is no harm in having it off on game. I'm not trying to create unneeded drama
