VPN Usage

Hi folks/staff,

I'm not one for wishing to break the rules, but I'm also not one for wishing to break them unintentionally. I've searched the server rules and forum rules to no avail.

I've noticed when using a VPN, which I often do to encrypt traffic. I can't get access to Red County Forums, is there a block on VPN's accessing your domains? If so, does this apply in-game and is there a rule for VPN usage in game? It's an inconvenience switching if it's not needed, but like just now, if it's a rule, I'll stand completely by it.

As always I respect if it's not permitted and I've not attempted to access in-game until I hear it from the big guns. For now I'll remain traceable.

Ah really? Well, if this is the case, I've got no problem not using it on RCRP. It's something I'm on more than anything so I'd rather keep it that way

yea i think you need perms from management so if you really want to/need to use it for some reason just ask

VPN are also banned in RCRP by fr0st, there is no way you can connect to RCRP with a VPN turned on.

When around the internet, you can't avoid being dislocated from your original location. As long as you don't use it for illegal nor abuse towards RC:RP, I really don't see, why it should be disallowed.

Aye lad, it's not permitted innit.
Cuts down on ban evasion a lot, also makes staff's lives easier.

Yeah, that's why I mean by abuse towards RC:RP. Of course, if an individual is using it to evade a ban, it's prohibited.

Yeah VPN usage isn’t allowed unless you get permission to use one. If you don’t mind not using one, that’ll be easier.
