It's a fucking DDoS, what's not to understand here? Do you think TommyB's server would be untouchable? Well, I don't think so.

No server is untouchable, not even the government can prevent/mitigate DDoS on large scales.

My server has far better specifications than the current one Alec's is on, a 1Gbit connection, Cisco ASA 5505 Firewall along with an i7 and 12GB of RAM. I also offered to host it free of charge.

Even without any firewall at all, my server would still stand up against attacks from script kiddies such as the ones who are currently DDoS'ing the server.

Alec's always real careful about trusting people. Hence he's the only developer. It was different for a while though, don't know what happened.

If a fucktard got Alec's script in his hands it would spread faster than aids on the SAMP forums.

Lionel apparently had the script, and look, his updates came two times faster and were more efficient than the current ones. Oh and he doesn't have to upload the .pwn, only the .amx, and to prevent someone from deAMXing it, he could insert a piece of script that would corrupt the deAMX program in his script, I'll get in to details later.
But for now even the .amx might be useful when you look at the rate the scripting goes, the current script might only get old in a year.

@Saint: AFAIK iGetty didn't have access to the script, he scripted something similar.

Getty scripted a similar server, it wasn't ditto so he didn't have the script.

Yes but the thing I think is that Alec does not want anyone that plays on RCRP to have access to such power on the server script wise etc etc. Therefore Jamieede is a good host for him as Jamie does not play SAMP...

You do realize that there's plenty of ways to prevent the source of one's script from being stolen right? As Xtreme said you simply don't upload the .pwn(the source!) file to your host and insert a bit of code to prevent your .amx (compiled script!) from being de-compiled properly. Not to mention the only thing I'd really have access to is the rcon password and as far I know only Alec can log into rcon with his IP address so it would really be no use if I found out the password. Not to mention I really couldn't care less about seeing "Server Owner William Silver" in /admins. (oh nice fake sig btw)

Oh and just for your information Jamie did used to play SA-MP, on RC-RP specifically. I should remember that because when I was a trial mod his wife got ajailed for saying lol and he called me a fucktard trial admin for not unjailing her on his server discussion topic!

And about iGetty's server, it was a ripoff of RC-RP, simple as that. He never stole the script of RC-RP or gained any access to it. I went on his server and it was just a failed copy.

Why don't we change the IP, then post the NEW IP somewhere in the forums where Guest can't see it. (Yes it still might get attacked again IF the "attacker" is a member on the forums...
