Just as a tip to everyone. Most of the passwords that were hacked were very easy.

1. Do not use the same password, security question and answer for multiple important accounts.

2. Use a password that has at least 16 characters, use at least one number, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one special symbol.

3. Do not use the names of your families, friends or pets in your passwords.

4. Do not use postcodes, house numbers, phone numbers, birthdates, ID card numbers, social security numbers, and so on in your passwords.

5. Do not use any dictionary words in your passwords.



So no:

wow123
helloworld1
cake
abcdefg

etc.

Or... Use last pass and you'll never need to remember a password again every password is saved and auto generated as smth like

I hardly noticed anything different to be fair, all we had to do was change a password or two. Other than that a couple of hours with some downtime, and we're back. We can move forward with this and put it behind us.

If you're going to change your passwords since you used the same one on everything, you might as well go ahead and start using a password manager from now on. It's worth the trouble as you only ever need to remember one password and the passwords you use to a site are practically un-crackable (as long as the website hashes and salts them as it should).

I am still siding with Evans on many issues - but this was really not fair game. Complete overreaction out of spite - for what?
