A lot more coherent and generally simpler to use on the iPhone, thanks Ginge and co!
When the new forum layout arrived, I was like 'I need to give it some time, I'll get used to it.'Kemp said:A lot more coherent and generally simpler to use on the iPhone, thanks Ginge and co!
Agreed with this. I have almost no interest in the server anymore (partly because of real life and being busier), but it just doesn't feel like RC-RP anymore to me. It's changed too much from its roots back in 2010/2011 (when RCRP thrived) and it's changed so much it's really not possible to go back unfortunately. I don't know, things just feel more complicated almost now and I don't really know how to explain it but I don't really know. The players are different now as well as the attitudes.Fishy said:Imo the player base has dropped because RCRP is no longer unique, just another casual RP server.

In 2010-12, things were a bit different, there was more RP going on, now it's pretty much four types of people; noobs, rich players who fuck around oocly, people who actually rp and admins. The thing is that the number of people who actually RP, has decreased. I don't know why the playerbase has dropped, can be due to exams and shit, but I'm sure we can get the activity and playerbase back on track by advertising, innovating/introducing new ideas. The RCFD and DoC for a start are [ in my opinion ] the most inactive factions, and I do not understand why.

The experience is dry. I've already said we should come up with some IC events (not OOC 'teleport to race' or DM events). Things like a music festival, stuff that gets everyone involved.

A mapped gig would be a pretty fucking amazing idea.
Give Axiom the ability to place objects and big speakers (with an extended range) and we'll make a music festival.Bobalob said:Saint said:The server did indeed change, there isn't as much to do anymore. I was thinking that there should be a skate park mapped, for example in Palomino or Blueberry, or even somewhere completely random, but still local to our RPing area, and bicycles should be allowed. Sure, it can be abused, but literally ANYTHING can be abused on the server, cars, weapons, drugs, bunnyhopping, anything. There are always ways to control people and make sure they aren't abusing. It's worth a try, and what is the problem.. If we don't like it, we'll just go back to how it was before, and we'll learn from that mistake. Don't bother saying '' let bmx's for donators '' blah blah, because it's just unfair. I think everyone should have access to bicycles. Being in a faction which grants you access to bicycles, such as SASP, SANews, etc, doesn't mean anything, it just restricts the usage. Remember that time when the bikes got bugged, and anyone could use them even if they weren't in the faction? Very rarely did someone abuse them, at least in my eyes. Bunnyhopping on a bike can always be RP'd by a pre-made keybind, or if you're not in a rush, just improvised. The above, can bring many new RP ideas, people will start BMX crews, not necessarily illegal, and making teenage accounts, which would benefit the educational legal faction, such as a school or a college. Make it level restricted to 5-8 if you must, but allow the bikes to everyone.

In my opinion there should be a skate park in PC, because with the amount of players, the last thing we need is to spread up everybody and throw all these friendship groups to random places on the map, keep RP centered around Monty and PC, pushing it might be Dillimore if we have too.
But why not have some sort of skate park where Paris's hood used to be? I could see a pretty cool place being mapped over the blank space and grass around that area.
