Websites using Google's ad services get ads based on their website traffic, when a website has a lot of traffic it will get to show ads that are higher valued, such as ads that may interest you but when its traffic isn't high enough it will get cheaper ads that you are more than likely not interested in, such as these dating site ads. I doubt it's possible to turn these types of ads off without removing ads from forums in general but when you see an ad you don't like you can do the following:
