How to tell when your car needs an oil change?

Hello.

How do you tell if your car needs an oil change? I'd assume, with low oil, it would sound worse than usual, and maybe it would drive a bit worse? I'm asking because I'm kind of second-guessing myself on if I need an oil change.

Well, on RCRP it's just a simple light that appears down near your speedo. It looks like this:

If you're actually wanting to roleplay it, there's a few different ways to find out your car needs an oil change:
• Some people frequently check their oil, which you can look up a guide on how to do. There's usually markings on the dipstick to tell you what minimum and maximum.
• The colour. Over time your oil can go dark and thick, if this is the case, you should probably change it.
• Dashboard light, like shown above.
• People that are used to their normal car noise can probably notice a change. The engine will be louder.

A symbol will appear in your speedometer HUD like the one below indicating you that you have to change your oil soon.

Every 3,000 miles! Or until the rods blow out the block which is about 100 or so miles iirc in RCRP lol.

The yellow symbol on your hud (bottom right) will appear once u reach every 500 miles with your vehicle. (starts from 0, 500, 1000, 1500, etc). That's mean u have to change your oil at that miles, but can be more than that a bit. If you don't change your oil, and keep driving it till it reach more than hundred miles above that, the engine of your vehicle gonna force stop till u change it.
