So this is rather odd.
When I tried to install the new client, it went pretty smooth at first. I then tried to launch the server and it peacefully closed. Pretty neat, right? But now the spooky things started to happen. After I launched the game, the SAMP Exe deleted itself, within the game folder. And the installation exe removed itself as well. Have any of you guys experienced this within these last fest days with the new client up'n'runnin'?

Hey,

It's probably your antivirus, as has been suggested above. My antivrus also deleted the new sa-mp.exe twice right after I installed it. Most antivirus software allows you to make path exceptions so the sa-mp.exe won't be scanned anymore, this would probably be your best bet.

Just make the samp.exe to be avoided by the antivirus in its settings, you don't have to turn it off.
Edit: I didn't see Thever's post, oops.. :detective:

That sounds about right. Seems my antivirus goes all the way and deletes anything linked to the launch exe.
I'll give it a go when I'm done with the tour!

Hot diggidy! It worked. I just had to make an exception on the installation EXE as well as the launcher. Thanks for the help!

Glad it's working for you now! Let me know if you are experiencing additional issues in regards to this thread and I'll bring it back for ya :)
