The Bio of Ray_Sterling

Mar 16, 2010
Growing up on a farm, Ray realized that needed a little more excitement. So when he turned 18, he left the farm and moved to Liberty City in 1976. There, he hooked up with a local pimp by the name of Slink. Slink needed a driver, and Ray needed the work. It began with a few coke runs├óÔé¼┬ªthat is until Ray fell in love with a Triad leader├óÔé¼Ôäós daughter, Chen-Chi. Her father, Zhou, told Ray that he must first prove himself worthy of his daughter, by doing errands for the Triads. Things took a turn for the worst when the Mafia kidnapped Chen-Chi, and Ray had to get her back.

As Ray and Chen-Chi escaped the clutches of the Mafia, Ray took one stunt to many, and crashed the car. Ray survived, but Chen-Chi was killed in the accident. Devastated, Ray quit driving and set up a chop shop in New York. He began gambling, eventually getting himself into debt.

It wasn├óÔé¼Ôäót until 1978 that Ray got involved with Slink again. This time, however, it was to help his old friend from the farm, TK, get a foothold in Liberty. TK became Slink├óÔé¼Ôäós new driver, while Ray operated from behind the scenes. Ray provided TK with the fastest cars and the best tune-ups. TK was soon involved with a kidnap operation, led by a man known as Corrigan. As an undercover cop, Corrigan was as dirty as the day is long. He, Slink, and a few others had set up the kidnapping, and framed TK.

Eighteen years later, Ray met TK at the police station, after TK served 18 years in Sing-Sing. TK had formulated a plan of revenge against all those who had set him up all those years ago. Ray made it clear that he wasn├óÔé¼Ôäót going to get involved├óÔé¼┬ªthat is until he received a call from Corrigan. Corrigan had convinced Ray to aid TK; and in exchange, Corrigan would clear all of Ray├óÔé¼Ôäós debts.

Ray agreed, but it wasn├óÔé¼Ôäót until Corrigan had TK killed, that he regretted his decision. Hoping to leave everything behind, Ray left Liberty City for a new life in Bone County. Once there, he found work, loading trucks at the Ft. Carson Brewery.

Though his gambling problem continued to progress, Ray managed to save enough money to purchase a trailer in Tierra Robada. That is until Fleischberg closed down the Bone County branch. Ray found himself without a job, and with his gambling problem, wondering the streets for nickels.

...That is, until a man offered Ray more than a dollar. He offered him an opportunity. Working around those trucks at the brewery gave Ray enough knowledge to know how to drive one, so he applied for his CDL and began hauling contraband for his new friend and his gang.

...But it wasn't until the gang wanted to steal a load of Nitro Manite from the Aperture Base, that Ray decided that was too far. So he hopped in the truck and drove off, keeping the load from the gang. However, the gang was one step ahead. They had set up a roadblock. Ray diverted their grasp once more, for the last time, when he drove that truck off the ledge. He had given his life to keep that load from falling in the wrong hands.

...THE END...
