Under 16 Roleplay Rules

Legend
  • Theft/Stealing: Taking something that doesn't belong to you.
  • Robbery: Taking something that doesn't belong to you from another person by using force, or the threat of force.
  • Burglary: Entering a structure, without authorization, with the intent of committing a crime within.
  • Scamming: A fraudulent scheme with the intent to cheat/swindle someone of their goods by means of a trick. (If an item is given voluntarily, whatever happens after still falls under scamming, as long as the other general server rules are still followed.)
  • Confiscation: Taking possession of something by legal authorities.

General Scam and Robbery rules

  • The player you're robbing and/or scamming must be level THREE or higher.
  • You yourself need to be level THREE or higher in order to scam and/or rob.
  • You may not assist when robbing and/or scamming a player until you are level THREE in the interests of fairness.
Exception to this: In the interest of fairness, committing illegal acts such as dealing drugs or using illegal weapons as a level 1 or 2 removes the under-level-3 protection. This means that other players will be allowed to rob or scam you in such a situation, despite of your level not being high enough.
  • In the interests of realism, you may not commit more than THREE robberies within a 24-hour period.
  • Due to the nature of scams, the amount of scams itself is not limited. Instead, we enforce monetary scam limits - a total daily limit and a separate limit per-player. (more in the Money Theft/Robberies and Scams section below).
  • You may not rob someone by pretending to buy/sell assets like vehicles, houses or businesses and luring them into a trap.
However, this is allowed when buying/selling illegal items like weapons and drugs.
  • You may not use the auctions to scam/rob someone of their money or assets.
  • You may not rob/steal fishing crates.
  • You are allowed rob/steal phones regardless of their number (custom or not). However, the owner of the phone will be free to roleplay restricting their SIM card and request an administrator to set the old number back to their new phone (after setting the number of the stolen phone to something random).

In the interest of fairness you may only commit a robbery when THREE or more cops are online (can be checked via /factiononline, this applies to both SASP & LSSD. SBI do not apply to this rule as they do not investigate street crimes). This applies only for simple robbery scenarios (approaching an unsuspecting player, robbing them and leaving afterwards), it is still allowed to commit a robbery and other criminal acts if they're a result of a roleplay scenario already in progress.

Killing
Killing or inflicting heavy injuries before, during or after a robbery/scam (or attempted robbery/scam) is disallowed, unless the victim brings it upon themselves.

If the person you're robbing/scamming (or have just robbed/scammed) is roughly cooperating - you are not allowed to kill or heavily injure them (for example just to stop them from snitching on you later).

If the person you're robbing/scamming (or have just robbed/scammed) is not cooperating and poses a direct threat - you are allowed to kill or heavily injure them.

Please note that the victim has to bring the heavy injuries/death upon themselves in order for it to be allowed - examples of such actions could be whipping out a firearm, trying to fight you (or your colleagues), trying to get the attention of a nearby police officer, trying to flee with your vehicle, or any other acts that might put you in danger. Minor lack of cooperation (shouting insults, passively resisting, etc) does not warrant inflicting heavy injuries/death.

Heavy injuries are to be interpreted as injuries that could potentially cause death if left untreated. Inflicting minor injuries (eg. beating someone up a bit) is allowed.

Those who are found to be breaching this rule will be warned or admin jailed, and the PK will be invalid. Repeated offense will result in a date ban.

House/Business Burglaries and Robberies
When committing a burglary on a house or business (stealing stored stuff such as drugs, weapons, cash etc.), may only be done for RP's sake, not to gain profit from it. Meaning you may not force the owner to hand over his or her items to you just because you committed theft in their house, unless the owner himself says otherwise.

Roleplaying robbing stores, bank heists and similar actions will also not be rewarded with money.

If you are going to roleplay committing burglary on a business/house, follow these following steps:
  • The owner of the property you're entering needs to be online, and you should PM him and ask information about the property you are about to enter to avoid Powergaming. It could have an alarm for example.
  • You must have a vehicle with a trunk (not motorcycles) to perform house burglaries.
  • Have screenshots. In case the person asks for screenshots of the burglary.
Disclaimer: Players are allowed to steal or rob items from a house if they directly witnessed it being stored (This includes situations where a player runs to a house with a weapon and comes out without it). This means a player might have to temporary /sell a house so the robber/burglar can take the items.

You are required to present screenshot or video proof of witnessing the player storing their goods. It is probably a good idea to inform or ask assistance from an administrator during this.

Vehicle Theft/Robberies and Scams

  • Vehicles may be stolen by anyone as long as the vehicle is unlocked.
  • Vehicles may be taken by robbing keys from the owner. The owner will have to give you a /givesharedkey (with a realistic time for you to drive the vehicle). You may not force the owner to sell the vehicle to you.
You can only steal car keys if the car is near / has just been used.
    Refer to robbery requirements first.

  • Items from trunks may be stolen by anyone as long as the trunk is unlocked.
  • Items from trunks may be robbed from the owner only when the owner is or recently was inside the vehicle, or when you have robbed their keys. Refer to robbery requirements first.
  • Players are allowed to steal items from a trunk if they directly witnessed it being stored (This includes situations where a player runs to a vehicle with a weapon and comes out without it). This means a player might have to temporary unlock a vehicle so the robber/burglar can take the item(s).

  • You may not go to random locked trunks and roleplay breaking them open to steal items from it.
  • Going to random vehicles and spam "/trunk open" falls under spam robbing and is not allowed.

  • Vehicle scams are allowed at the value of the vehicle at dealership price. The vehicle may not be worth more than $50,000 in the dealership.

All vehicle scams must be liaised ICly and cannot be discussed OOCly (for example; Player A (seller) is selling a vehicle to player B (scammer). Player B asks in /b for Player A to sell the vehicle using the command for $1 and that they will write a cheque.) All scams must be fully roleplayed in character.

Money Theft/Robberies and Scams
  • When robbing/stealing a player's money, you may not exceed the amount of $5,000
  • You may only rob up to $2,500 if you are forcing someone to take money from any of their assets or their bank account. This is included in the maximum amount of $5,000.
  • When scamming somebody of their money, you may not request more than the amount of $50,000.
  • You cannot scam for more than $50,000 only to then give the difference back to the player you scammed. However, if your victim pays you more than your requested $50,000 for whatever item you were offering, you may keep that money.
  • Gambling, such as blackjack, also falls under this rule. You are not allowed to refuse a payment over the scam limit.
  • You are allowed to scam up to $150.000 within a 24 hour period. The amount of scams does not matter, and the value can be anything between $1 and $50.000 per a single player (for example, you are allowed to scam 3 players for $50.000, or 10 players for $15.000, or 150 players for $1000, etc.)
  • The scamming limit does not apply during illegal deals. You are allowed to scam a player for more than $50.000 if the trade involves illegal goods such as weapons or drugs.
  • If you were scammed off your money - you are allowed to rob the scammer afterwards for as much as he scammed off of you, plus the usual robbery limit. So if you were scammed for 30.000$ by Player X - you are allowed to pursue them and rob them for up to 35.000$ afterward.

LoansYou are allowed to loan anyone as much money as you wish, however the administration team will not protect your assets OOCly. Loans are also NOT protected by the scamming rules. You should hand your money only to people you trust, to avoid losing your assets.

Loaner guidelines:
  • If a loanee fails to return your loan, you may take your issue IC'ly to the courts and have that person's assets transferred to you (with the help of an administrator). If that person does not own any assets anymore, and your money has vanished, that will be your own loss. Please note, if you do not have any enforced contract you cannot claim the loanee's assets.

Loanee guidelines:
  • Escaping Loans through OOC means like CKs or transferring assets OOCly to other accounts to get out of an IC asset wipe is NOT allowed and will result in a permanent ban. This includes going inactive after receiving the loan.

Weapons
Players are free to both rob and scam illegal firearms from other players, however:
  • You may not steal legal weapons such as those spawned in through legal factions, or weapons purchased in Ammunation by a player with a valid weapon license.
  • A player may be given a weapon by an administrator for roleplay purposes, they have been personally trusted with the weapon and therefore these weapons cannot be stolen.
It is against the rules to loot corpses of other players in an attempt to aquire guns or other weapons.
You may not loot the corpse of another player in an attempt to acquire weapons, once a player has been downed or has died in a shootout their weapon, other players, regardless of it they're a friend or foe may not attempt to take the weapon from the corpse.
  • You may roleplay taking the firearm from a downed/deceased friend as a means to ICly dispose of it but it is against the rules to take it into your possession scriptwise.
Disclaimer: Refund requests for looted weapons will no longer be accepted, however, admins may make exceptions to this rule if they deem it justified.

Confiscations
Due to realism and fairness for authorities, they are allowed to confiscate any illegal items in your possession. Be smart where you store your illegal items, and be smart where to hide and which vehicles to use (during pursuits).

  • On duty authorities are allowed to confiscate any illegal items on person if they have probable cause *1 or they are conducting an arrest.
  • On duty authorities are allowed to confiscate any illegal items from your vehicle if you: get yourself into a vehicle pursuit, they witness you storing illegal goods, or when they have a search warrant.
  • On duty authorities are allowed to confiscate any illegal items from your businesses/houses if they witness you running inside with a weapon (while being chased), or have a search warrant.

*1 Examples of probable cause, but not limited to:
  • You were seen waving a weapon or weapon-like item around.
  • You were seen snorting cocaine in a back alley and someone spotted you.
  • You were threatening someone with a weapon or weapon-like object and the cops were called.

NOT allowed:
  • Randomly picking a civilian of the street for a search because he "looks suspicious".
  • Searching someone, because he or she has a lot of previous speeding tickets.
  • Searching someone, because they were speeding and happen to have a criminal record.

Fairness is to be enforced. Ask an administrator when in doubt.
Disclaimer: Confiscations from Authorities are not to be confused or seen as a robbery or theft, because they simply are not the same thing. You may not hide behind these rules, because they simply do not apply to authorities.

Factions/Jobs
You may not steal any weapons/items from members or headquarters of the following factions:
  • Los Santos County Sheriff's Department
  • San Andreas Highway Patrol
  • Los Santos County Fire Department
  • San Andreas Bureau of Investigation
You may not rob someone that is actively on duty for the following jobs and side jobs without admin permission:
  • Taxi Driver
  • Bus Driver
  • Sweeper
  • Trucker
  • Pizza Delivery
  • Coal Miner
  • Trash Collector

Admin permission is not continuous. Each situation is different and requires admin permission. You may also not intentionally camp the side jobs and wait for that person to return to rob him immediately.
Disclaimer: The rule about (side) jobs is no longer in effect if the player brings the robbery upon themselves. A taxi driver picking up a customer from your hood may not be robbed, but a taxi driver trying to sell drugs out of their cab while in your hood may be robbed. You are not allowed to abuse the taxi job in order to take your customer to a faraway place in order to rob them.

A few changes have been made within the rules, including the lowering of the robbery limit and an exception within the minimum robbery level rule. A full list of all the changes can be found in this announcement.

New rules about loans have been implemented. All loans made from this point forward will not receive the classic OOC refund. All loans and refunds that were made before this point, will be dealt with in the old way, however that needs to be proved by logs and screenshots, which will be double checked.

LoansYou are allowed to loan anyone as much money as you wish, however the administration team will not protect your assets OOCly. Loans are also NOT protected by the scamming rules. You should hand your money only to people you trust, to avoid losing your assets.

Updated - You are no longer allowed to rob a person who you killed or heavily injured.

Killing
Killing after/before a robbery/scam (or attempted robbery/scam) is disallowed, unless the victim accepts the kill via /do.

You are not allowed to kill or heavily injure a person after a robbery if your only reason for that is so that they don't call the cops (order of actions doesn't matter). You are also not allowed to rob a person who you killed or heavily injured.

.
Those who are found to be breaching this rule will be warned and admin jailed, and the PK will be invalid. Repeated offense will result in a date ban.

You are allowed to rob a person who you killed or heavily injured, as long as your reason for the kill was valid and wasn't related to the robbery itself (order of actions doesn't matter).

The downed status, actual injuries and health of the victim are no longer the main factor for this rule. What actually matters is your reason for the killing or inflicting heavy injuries upon the other player, as stated above.

OLD:

General Scam and Robbery rules

  • The player you're robbing and/or scamming must be level THREE or higher.
  • You yourself need to be level THREE or higher in order to scam and/or rob.
  • You may not assist when robbing and/or scamming a player until you are level THREE in the interests of fairness.
Exception to this: In the interest of fairness, committing illegal acts such as dealing drugs or using illegal weapons as a level 1 or 2 removes the under-level-3 protection. This means that other players will be allowed to rob or scam you in such a situation, despite of your level not being high enough.
  • In the interests of realism, you may not commit more than THREE robberies or scams within a 24-hour period.
  • You may not rob someone by pretending to buy/sell assets like vehicles, houses or businesses and luring them into a trap.
However, this is allowed when buying/selling illegal items like weapons and drugs.

  • You may not use the auctions to scam/rob someone of their money or assets.

In the interest of fairness it is not allowed to commit a robbery while there's no SP members online (can be checked via /factiononline). This applies only for simple robbery scenarios (approaching an unsuspecting player, robbing them and leaving afterwards), it is still allowed to commit a robbery and other criminal acts if they're a result of a roleplay scenario already in progress.
