If it's an IC scam, you deal with it ICly. (However I think $50 000 is the scam limit ICly, anything over that makes it an OOC issue as it's a rulebreak)

If it's an OOC scam, first step would be perhaps reaching out to a helper or an admin. Pretty sure they know what follows afterwards.

Although this is seen as the correct way to describe it, you did forget some other parts which play a huge factor,

Yes the legal scam limit is $50,000 which means they aren’t allowed to go higher for “legal” items, however, if you’re buying guns or drugs or any other illegal items, there is actually no scam limit which means it can be a high as the seller sees fit.

If it does end up going into being an ooc scam, be sure to take screenshots and have valid evidence so helpers and admins can have all evidence to see what they can do to help sort the issue.
