House & Business Customization Rules

House interior changesYou are allowed to change the interior of your house only to one of the interiors available in the core game. The change requests are processed fully by Silver Trading, and all the details can be found in their forum section. You will have to choose one of the interior IDs listed in this thread, then post a thread with the request in the main Silver Trading section. If the interior is deemed acceptable for the exterior look of your house, you will have to pay the fee stated under the screenshot and ID of a certain interior. After that is done - your interior will be changed.

Custom-mapped interiors for houses are not allowed. You may only request a change into one of the original interiors then furnish it with the furniture script.

Exterior house maps are not allowed. Additionally, you may not have a completely new house added/mapped in.

Business interior changesYou are allowed to request an interior change for your business. You will have to state a valid reason for the change, provide a completed mapping and pay a certain sum of money - the amount is calculated separately for each request. It should be between 100.000$ - 500.000$, but might go higher in certain cases. It is to be destroyed via /destroycash and removed from the economy. Note that some business are exempt from this, and their interiors are not changeable.

The price of the interior change will be based on:

  • The size of the map
  • The location of your business
  • The type of your business
  • Raise of the market price of the bizz after the interior change
  • How beneficient the map is for ordinary players
  • Changing the purpose of the bizz (bar bizz --> pawn shop, etc)
  • Other factors (for certain businesses)

In order to request an interior change you will need to have a finished mapping - without this I will not be able to tell you how much the change will cost. When you have a map ready, contact the Head of Maps (myself) via forum PMs - make sure you include screenshots of your map, the name of the bizz and the map code. You will then be told if the quality of the map is acceptable and if any improvements have to be done before the map is added - after that it will be forwarded to the development section so that it can be tested for bugs.

Businesses loaned by factions from Faction Administration can have their interiors changed without a fee.

Remember that we want only high-quality maps on the server - so if your map is not up to the standards shown by all the interiors on our server - it will not be accepted. If you yourself are not satisfied with your map - please find someone who can rework it and make it better, instead of asking me if the map is good enough - as there is little to no chance that the map will be accepted. The map must have custom textures, at least on all the walls, floors and ceilings. It may not have any text that cannot be passed onto the next owner - for example, you are allowed to add a sign on the wall with the name of your club/bar, but you won't be allowed to add the name of your unofficial faction anywhere in the interior.

The procedure of having your business interior implemented is as follows:
2. Contact the Head of Maps (Earl) and make sure that your business is eligible for an interior change.
2. You need to acquire a map of the interior. You can either map it yourself via external mapping programs such as Texture Studio, or ask someone else to create the map for you.
3. Once the map is finished - send a forum PM to me (Earl), state the name and location of your business, and present detailed screenshots of the whole interior. This can also be done by the mapper of the interior for faster information flow.
4. I will point out things that need to be tweaked/fixed (if any), which will have to be fixed before the map is forwarded further. You will also be told how high the interior change fee will be. Once the map is considered of acceptable quality and is up to standards - it will be added to the private RC:RP map testing server.
5. The map will be tested by Lilly (our map tester) in order to make sure that there's no bugs and that it works as intended.
6. After the test is done Lilly's feedback will be forwarded to you (or the mapper) by Lilly or myself. The bugs will have to be fixed and a new map code will have to be sent to me.
7. The map will be forwarded for testing and tested again - if some bugs are still found then point 6 is repeated, if not - point 8 follows.
8. The business interior change fee has to be paid (and any other fees, if applicable) via the use of /destroycash, and a screenshot of it should be forwarded to me.
9. The finished and fixed map is then sent to Tommy, who adds the map to the main server.

Disclaimer: Business interiors are tied to businesses, not players. Once the interior is added to the business - it belongs to that specific business, no matter who owns it. You lose the rights to the interior by losing the business, whether it happens through selling it to another player, through an inactivity wipe, through a return of a bizz that was loaned from Faction Administration or via any other means. The price you paid a mapper for creating the map is irrelevant in this case. You are, however, allowed to swap the interior between two businesses owned by you, as long as the change is approved by the Head of Maps.

Business interior additions / Business additionsYou are allowed to request an interior addition for a non-enterable business. Due to the fact that such businesses are worth less on the market, you will have to pay an additional fee of 250.000$. The rest of the rules are same as for an interior change.

You are generally not allowed to request a business addition (creating a whole new business just for you) - there might be exceptions to this if a very good reason is given. In such case, except for purchasing the bizz for its stock price, you would have to pay an additional fee for the fact that stock prices are much lower than market prices. In vast majority of cases this applies only to unofficial/official factions. It is suggested that you keep to the businesses that are already created on the server though.

Exterior business maps are not allowed.

House / Business name changesChanging the name of your house is not allowed with most properties - if the name of your house is a street name with a number you won't be able to change it. However, if you own a ranch/villa/etc, you will most likely be able to request a name change - have in mind that it will only be granted once after you've purchased it.

Changing the name of your business is allowed with certain properties - this is more situational and will highly depend on the type of the bizz. Businesses like general stores, clothing stores, sidejob businesses and similar will not be eligible for a namechange, while bars, clubs and restaurants will be. Contact a Management member in-game and they will tell you whether the name of your business can be changed or not. It can be done only once after purchasing the business, just as with house namechanges.

Changing the name of a house / business is free.

Business payout raisesIf you own a business with a low payout, you have the ability to raise your business payout for a fee. These requests are completed by Silver Trading administrators, Head Administrators or Management members.

The following rules apply:
  • $150,000 for a $100 payout increase with a total payout limit of $1,500.
  • $250,000 for a $100 payout increase with a total payout limit of $2,500.
  • $250,000 for a $100 payout increase for businesses with opening costs such as Bars, Casino's, Clubs, Café's with a total payout limit of $3,500.
  • Faction businesses and loaned Silver Trading businesses are not eligible.
In order to raise your payout, create an /assistance in-game tagged for Silver Trading admins, Head Admins or Management. (Silver Trading Administration's discretion is applied.)

Business actorsOwning a business comes with the abillity to spawn actors in the interior (stationary NPC peds for aesthetic purposes). You are able to create actors by using /manageactors and it will allow you to spawn/despawn the actors as well set their position, skin and animation. The amount of actors you can place depends on your Premium Level.

Please have in mind that actors should be placed in a realistic manner - you can use them as shop clerks or employees, or as customers, visitors and alike. However, abusing this feature to create unrealistic or trollish actors or situations is not allowed - it will result in removal of the actors as well as a punishment of admin jail (or, in severe cases, a temporary ban).

Faction interior/exterior changes and additionsThe addition of mapping for official factions is generally free - be it an interior or exterior map. However, when it comes to exterior maps there are certain limitations, which are very dependant on the situation. While the change will most likely still be free, it might not be accepted due to the amount of objects (lag issues) or other factors (realism, unfair advantages, etc). There might also be a situation in which an interior map would have to be paid for - in most cases it would be the cover-up businesses of illegal factions, which are very loosely tied to the faction itself. In this case the owner would have to follow the same process as with any other business.

Unofficial factions are not eligible for faction-specific mapping. However, they are free to purchase a business and follow the standard procedure for changing its interior and name.

Empty house interior rulesThe empty house interior (also known as the custom interior or warehouse interior) is one of the interiors available at Silver Trading. While all other interiors are made by Rockstar - this specific one allows you to create the whole interior from scratch, using SA:MP walls and other objects. It requires maturity and realistic thinking from those who purchase it, and while the admin team doesn't dictate you on how your interior should exactly look like - there's still some guidelines that have to be followed.

- House interiors should not be bigger than twice the size of their exterior. We understand that Rockstar made a lot of the house exteriors awkwardly small, and it's fine if your interior is bigger than the exterior - within limits though. Contact a member of Silver Trading if you're unsure whether your house will be too big or not.
- House interiors should not have features that their exteriors don't have. While things like windows are alright, unexistant back door entrances, garages or basements in a trailer are not acceptable.
- The empty interior allows you to create a basement. However, basements should not be seen as an extention to your house - if your house is small then it's small, you should buy a bigger one if you want to fit more rooms. You are allowed to create a small one-room basement, you need permission from a Silver Trading member if you want to create a larger one.
- Hidden passages and entrances are allowed, as long as they make use of the door object (either the swinging one or the one openable with /door). It is not allowed to exploit objects with no collision or use objects that can only be moved via the furniture editing dialog.
- House balconies and patios that expand into the blue void are allowed, as long as they cannot be entered (aka are only visible through a window / glass door). If your house exterior has a balcony or a patio - use the exterior furnishing feature to furnish it and roleplay there. If your house exterior doesn't have a balcony or a patio - then your interior may not have them either, refer to one of the guidelines above.
- If you don't feel capable enough of creating the interior yourself you can always seek help and feedback from Silver Trading members or the Mapping Team. You can also find various IC furnishing factions in the IC factions section on the forums, their members will surely be willing to furnish your house in exchange for in-game money.

The Mapping TeamMembers of the Mapping Team will be open for your requests. Within their posibillities, they will try to create an interior of your choice, but you're also free to map the interior on your own or ask someone else to do it.

Re: House & Business Customisation Rules [Last updated: 9th of January 2017]

Rules about the empty/custom house interior have been introduced. More information on this can be found in this global announcement: https://redcountyrp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=138945.

A small update to the rules officially disallowing unrealistic/trollish actors in businesses:

Business actorsOwning a business comes with the abillity to spawn actors in the interior (stationary NPC peds for aesthetic purposes). You are able to create actors by using /manageactors and it will allow you to spawn/despawn the actors as well set their position, skin and animation. However, abusing this feature to create unrealistic or trollish actors or situations is not allowed - it will result in removal of the actors as well as a punishment of admin jail (or, in severe cases, a temporary ban).

If your business has actors that fall under this description then make sure to remove them as soon as possible.

Two things that were unwritten until now have been added to the rules:

Businesses loaned by factions from Faction Administration can have their interiors changed without a fee.

Disclaimer: Business interiors are tied to businesses, not players. Once the interior is added to the business - it belongs to that specific business, no matter who owns it. You lose the rights to the interior by losing the business, whether it happens through selling it to another player, through an inactivity wipe, through the return of a bizz that was loaned from Faction Administration or via any other means. The price you paid a mapper for creating the map is irrelevant in this case. You are, however, allowed to swap the interior between two businesses owned by you, as long as the change is approved by the Head of Maps.

This has been unwritten for quite a while and we've only done it upon being specifically asked whether it's possible or not, but following a discussion within the ST team we've decided to make it an official possibility.
