NOTE: If you ever considered becoming/roleplaying as a proper biker, I highly suggest you to read this GUIDE through, as it states the most basic and overall useful information you need to know.

Biker_zps1311ac97.png

HANGAROUND

Hangaround is the first stage of anyone wanting to be apart of a Motorcycle Club. The name is exactly what it suggests – you hang around. You’re considered ‘guests’ of the club on things like runs (If invited of course) and rally’s. During this stage, the club should be making the Club seem tempting to you. The main difference between Hangaround and Prospect is the following: “As a Hangaround, Patched members make them want to join. As a Prospect, Patched members make them want to regret it”. This is where a huge misunderstanding is done in a lot of Motorcycle Clubs, where they think it’s appropriate to treat Hangarounds (AKA ‘Hangies’) like slaves, getting them to do the dirty work around the clubhouse, etc.

If you’re a dedicated and loyal person, and enjoy generally roleplaying, then the Hangaround position could be extremely attractive to you. As it really lets you develop and show your character to the club, and there can be a lot of fun as you try to find a Sponsor (More on Sponsors in the next section). It also gives you a chance to ‘try before you buy’ in the sense that it allows you to witness the factions roleplay and really let’s you have a choice of whether or not you think this faction, or biker RP in general is for you.

Possibly the biggest downfall for Hangarounds, is that you aren’t in the club. Meaning if you’re in trouble, or are having issues – don’t expect the club to save you, or help you shoot someone, or save you from getting robbed.
The only Club gear you can wear at this stage would be supporter gear, and is usually sold my Patched members to any hangarounds interested (Things like shirts, hoodies, beanies, hats, etc., with slogans such as ‘SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL [CLUB]’)

Prospect.png

PROSPECT

Prospect is generally known as the toughest time during joining an MC (Usually. Sometimes they’re nice). The Prospect stage is when you’re a Probationary member. You’ll be expected to do things such as watch the bikes, drive the run truck (later on in the guide), clean parts of the clubhouse, wash the bikes, etc. You become tuned to bitch mode and for lack of a better word, becomes a ‘slave’ of the club. You’re also expected to be on call 24/7 (Obviously not on SA:MP, but should make yourself available whenever you’re online to simulate this).

To become a Prospect, one must spend suitable time as a hang around, getting to know as many members of the club as possible. Become friendly, as one of these men will potententially be your Sponsor – who will be the most important person to you during your time as a Prospect. If you have any issues about your Probationary/Prospecting period, your sponsor is your go-to man.

You’re given patches to wear – in most cases this is a bottom rocker stating the territory (For example ‘San Andreas’ and sometimes a small ‘MC’ patch, as well as a ‘Prospect’ patch to be worn on the front of your vest/cut (See dictionary further below for definitions). All of these patches vary though depending on your club. For example, Outlaws MC and Bandito’s MC supply Prospects with a ‘PROBATIONARY’ top rocker to be worn on your back.

PATCHED MEMBERS

Patched member is your final step in becoming a full member of a Motorcycle Club. After a certain amount of time, there would be another vote on whether or not the Prospect is ready to attain his full patch. The Prospect is brought up at Church by his sponsor – however – rushing into it too quickly will not always work, as Prospects are only given a certain amount of chances to win over at votes. It is no small thing either – as these people (members voting on whether or not the prospect gets his patch or not) need to trust the Prospect with their life. The life of a patched member plays the biggest part of this guide, so read the rest carefully.

OLD LADIES
(Please read this, ladies)

Being a members girlfriend/wife/partner can sometimes be a tough life. Firstly, the patchholder/member must announce it at church, so she is known as that members Ol’ Lady (Again – dictionary). This will prevent issues caused by flirting between other members and her. She is allowed to wear a patch after being declared an Ol’ Lady, which simply notifies her of being a members ‘property’. Although not to take literally and not degrading, this is merely a sign of respect to show people that she’s taken by a member of the club. This may cause prejudice from members of Law Enforcement, etc, but Ol’ Ladys are considered family and protected by the club by so. An Ol Lady having a patch (see below) however will earn them a place amongst the club (in terms) and will earn them respect amongst the community. This patch does not mean they are a part of the club, nor will they ever be as females are barred from joining 99% of clubs.
However, it also also carries it’s fair share of negativity. Ol Lady’s need to live with the fact that their boyfriend/husband/partner may not return, and may also be called out at all times of the night. He may be called away from important family business. It’s a lifestyle one must accept. However, like previously mentioned – if something does happen to the member, the Ol Lady will be protected and comforted by the club. As although someone may of lost a son, father or even a husband. The club lost a brother.

POSITIONS

Amongst a Motorcycle Club, there are many positions that Patched members can achieve. These positions are often considered the ‘Officer’ ranks, and are the leading group of the club (Excluding NOMAD & Enforcer). Ranks vary, and so do duties and importance. However the general understanding is the following:

- PRESIDENT (AKA: Pres, P)

The President is the boss of the club. There can also be the National President, meaning that whichever chapter that President is apart of, is the Mother Chapter – the leading chapter. The National President is the highest ranking member of the nationwide Motorcycle Club. His responsibilities include the following.
Hold Church (Dictionary) (Unless unavailable)
Hold votes and elections, or organize appointing someone to a position.
Manage his Club, as well as his Officers.
Approve of transactions offered by other Officers. (For example, if the Treasurer wants to spend money refurnishing the club bar)
His rank is simply the leader. He may also be responsible for other, more trivial things. Such as giving his blessing at a wedding between a member and his old lady.

- VICE PRESIDENT

Similar to the President, the Vice President is the Presidents right hand man. He will take the Presidents spot if he retires (in most cases) and takes over his duties when the President is unavailable to fulfill them.

- SERGEANT AT ARMS

The Sergeant At Arms is one of the most important Officer ranks. He’s in charge of all security.
Therefore, he is responsible for the following duties.
He will manage and inspect the clubhouse of all security measures such as CCTV Cameras and gates.
List all weapon inventories, and providing a solid report at each Church on the security of the clubhouse and the club.
Act as one of the Presidents trusted advisors.
Advise the President (and other Officers) on the subject of Club defense.
Manage a small group of Enforcers, who will assist him. (See below)

- TREASURER (AKA: Tres)

The Treasurer is the Money-man. He is in charge of all loans, debts, payments and keeps an eye on the Club coffers. The following is a list of responsibilities.
Manage the inflow and outflow of money to and from the Club and it's coffers.
Present a Treasury Report at every Church, stating how much money we have, if there were any purchases/expenditure this week, and if there are any more purchases coming up.
Advise the President on situations involving the Club's coffers.
If the club utilizes membership fees, it is the Treasurer's job to collect and ensure all is collected.

- SECRETARY

The Secretary will work closely with the Treasurer, as this position is centered around managing the books and keeping tabs. In shorter explanation, this person is in charge of all documents. From rosters, to making sure the liquor license is legal. His responsibilities include:
Keeping an up-to-date roster on the Club's memberships.
Advising the President on legal matters.
Ensuring the Clubhouse is legally insured and protected (Eg: Liquor licenses and leasing documents)
Documenting meeting notes during Church.
Generally keeping the books in check.
- ROAD CAPTAIN

The Road Captain, is as it seems. He is in charge of all Club business involving the road. This positions can double up as Public Relations advisor to the club, depending on the club itself. His responsibilities are:
Plan routes for Club runs and prepare the run trucks (dictionary) inventory.
Plan and setup Rallies and runs.
Ensure club members learn and follow formation.
Ride next to the President in formation and advise him on leading the formation IF NEEDED.

- ENFORCERS

Enforcers work with the Sergeant at Arms, and in a manner of speaking - are his squad. They carry out his orders - orders that come from the President. Their list of duties are:
Help the Sergeant at Arms prepare and survey the clubhouse for Security faults
Help set up the Clubhouse with Security (eg: Installing CCTV)
Although the entire club is called to arms if required, Enforcers are the main fighting force.
Carry out required duties when the Sergeant is unavailable to do so.

- NOMADS

NOMADS are members of the Club who travel chapter-to-chapter. They're considered another chapter on their own, and are usually 'deployed' to Chapters. (In most MC's in SA:MP this rank is reserved for inactive/reserve members as it gives them IC reason to be)
Their duties include.
Deploying to any Chapter when asked to by Nomad President or National President.
Although another chapter, must still follow directions of their Hosting President (President of whichever club they're visiting)
Deployed to help in conflict, or investigate mishappens (Eg: President stealing money from Club Coffers)

EXAMPLE OF PATCHES
In this case, I'll be using Mongols MC for example.

Back of the vest:

[San Andreas] - It's the location kicker. This is the first kicker you earn, when you get invited into the Mongols MC.
[*MMC LOGO*] or [M.C.] - It's the second kicker a Prospect earns. You get this after you earned part of the respect.
[Mongols] - It's the third kicker a Mongol can earn. You're now fully patched, and gained our full respect.

Front of the vest:

[Mongols] - A patch wich shows everyone that you're part of the Mongols MC.
[San Andreas] - A location front patch, so people that you talk to can see wich state are you from, in case of a meeting.
[*nickname*] - Your road name, the name that everybody calls you.

[1%er MFFM] - You're an outlaw biker, people need to know this, and who you represent aswell.
[Respect few - Fear none] - One of the Mongol quotes, wich shows our cut-hroat attitude.
[*Black Heart*] - You're black heart'ed, wich means that you took a bullet for a brother.
[*Eightball*] or [8] - You served a serious time in prison for the Mongols brotherhood.
[13] - You attended the funeral of a fellow brother. 13 stands for Chapter 13.
[$] - You are running a business for the club.
[Mongols M.C. - In memory of] - A big, round patch. Under it are placed the memorial patches of fallen brothers.
[Skull & Cross bones] or [Skull] - This patch shows you have taken out a specific target as a club hit.

[D.F.F.L.] - Dope Forever Forever Loaded. - Means, you're always "dope loaded", always can get any dope.
[FLY COLUORS] - Means, you ride a bike, which is coloured as club's colours. White&Black.
[F.T.W.] - Fuck The World.
[DILLIGAF] - Do I look like I give a fuck.

[Golden Wings] - Participation in group sex involving more than six brothers.
[White Wings] - Performing oral sex on a white woman.
[Black Wings] - Performing oral sex on a black woman.
[Yellow Wings] - Performing oral sex on an Asian woman.
[Red Wings] - Performing oral sex on a menstruating woman.
[Green Wings] - Performing oral sex on a woman infested with insects (crabs, scabies, etc.).
[Purple Wings] - Performing oral sex on a dead woman.
[Brown Wings] - Performing oral-anal on a woman.
[Blue Wings] - Having sex with a policewoman.

Using patches in game is mostly done by using the command /ame

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CLUB example:
/ame wears a black hoodie, with the follow text reading: "Support your local MONGOLS MC" on the back.
/do Brian wears a black hoodie, with the follow text reading: "Support your local MONGOLS MC" on the back.

PATCHES:
/ame 's wearing a vest with patches; [1 '/.'er][MFFM][MC Emblem][ROAD CAPTAIN][PURPLE WINGS][DILLIGAF][13]...blah blah.
/do Brian is wearing a vest with patches; [1 '/.'er][MFFM][MC Emblem][ROAD CAPTAIN][PURPLE WINGS][DILLIGAF][13]...blah blah.

ROLEPLAYING WITH A CLUB
This is mainly an OOC note to people. Bikers are usually quite legit (not literally) people in real life, and a lot of us try to mimic this IG. Guns and drugs are not randomly sold on the street to strangers, but carefully sold off to people who are clever and are KNOWN to be criminals, or friends of the club. For example - all the clubs I've made have had a strict rule not to shoot at Police Officers unless dire necessary. We try first and foremost to roleplay an actual Motorcycle Club rather than a Criminal Organization - for example hosting Charity Rides where we've actually /charity'd the money from selling gear or even merchandise.

Should credit Taifun for the patch information, you just copy and pasted it from the Mongols Forum lol, and honestly, the patches differ from club to club, so you shouldn't include it in the guide.

Furthermore, the entire guide is copied from https://forums.mtarp.co/showthread.php?t=12311

The guide on that website isn't even the original guide, they took it from somewhere else too because I've read some of the exact lines on several guides online back when I was researching 1% motorcycle clubs.

The patch part that you, and they copied too: http://mongols.betaboard.net/t27-patche ... -they-mean

The post from MTA is from me as well, and also I wrote a good chunk of the information my self.

The patches do differ from club to club, however this is an EXAMPLE on how you could do it.

Interesting read.

With that being said, Mongols is one of the worst MCs to copy or emulate due to the fact that thanks to Doc Cavazos, they are more a hispanic street gang now, more than a MC. I know they are still considered a MC by the FBI, and most of the media, but the half patch system Mongols have adapted makes them partially a street gang. Just saying.....

Again very interesting read tho.
