SAMP won't connect

Hey everyone, I have the steam version of SA but I managed to install SAMP by copying the San Andreas folder and installed it there. I just wanted to know if anyone has a fix for when I press connect when wanting to join a sever and it doesn't open the game. I've seen people fix this problem by deleting Gta-sa.set but I don't have that file (or can't locate it) in the steam version of the file.

Can't play SAMP with Steam version, you need to downgrade to 1.0.
