On a serious note, have you made any changes to the game recently?

Yeah fixed.
Turned out that if you sell one of your apartments like I did when I was last time online, it didn't set me up for new spawn spot.
So, after choosing a character I simply did /changespawn and it spawned it into my house. So selling your house and not manually setting new spawn spot might cause this problem.

You might want to make a bug report about it.

This looks like a server problem and could have something to do with your spawn. I would try and ask a admin to offline admin jail (if admins can even do it) you, login game and ask to be release.
