Changes to Helper Administration and the Helper team.

Helper Team Changes
Hello RCRP,

First of all I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to submit applications and reinstatement's, we're at a staggering 15 applications already.

Anyone who has been a helper or admin before will be fairly familiar with the system that is in place, we have a team of admins who look after the team who are called "Helper Admins" and one admin (usually a Lead) who would be the "Head of Helpers." When this structure was in place, it worked well because the work load of helper administration was high, helpers received individual reviews and every helper had an assigned admin to "go to" if they needed.

During my time as Head of Helpers I have streamlined a lot of things, making the helper team more efficient and simple. But unfortunately because of this, the need for Helper Admins is no longer there. It was decided after a brief discussion with Earl on behalf of server management that we discontinue the role of Helper Admin and just have one person in charge, the Head of Helpers. It is of course sad to see the helper admins go, as they were a great asset of the team and I enjoyed working with them. But there are more important roles that need to be concentrated on within the administration team like master account applications, complaints, refunds and so on.

Instead, the entire administration team will now be responsible for passing feedback to myself on helper activity, praises and strikes as well as monitor recruitment with me. This also means that I will be the admin who will decide the outcome on applications which will lead to a more precise answer and quicker waiting times.

I'd like to also note a few internal changes I have made near the start of the year. Originally, the only reward that was given to helpers was a "Helper Of The Month" award, which was normally just given to the helper with the most assistance points. I looked into this system and realised it was massively flawed. Helpers have more responsibilities now which include forum moderation, helper tours, helping members on discord, helping members in the help section on the forum and more. These things are not monitored by assistance points. (For those who are unfamiliar, one point = one assistance taken).

So I introduced more rewards to provide a bigger incentive. Helper Of The Month remains, but is now determined on all of the above styles of assisting as a whole. We have introduced the Most Assists award, which is pretty self explanatory. However to avoid two people getting one award, if the HOTM also has the most assists, the most assists award goes to second place (both can still put this on their helper profile however). Finally, we have the Excellent Performance award, which goes to the next three in line on the top of the scoreboard.

This new system allows more helpers to be rewarded for their outstanding contribution to the server. I have used this system since the beginning of the year on a trial and the feedback has been outstanding. Let me finish off by saying I am extremely proud of the helper team we have, we are a small but proud team and I honestly believe it's the best helper team I've worked in since I joined the server.

May I ask however that you are patient when waiting for assistance, the numbers are low and I am hoping this next recruitment batch will change that. Thanks for getting this far, and thanks for believing in me!

never had any input or gratitude, help or assistance from helper admins aside from novi and meyrick. Glad you are overhauling the idea and adding different ways of rewarding those who help the server.
