Cannot display this video mode.

So basically when I tried to go play some RCRP, a black screen with "Cannot display this video mode" came on, I know what it means, I tried to delete the gta sa settings file but it didn't help, it still does this, can anyone help?

What's your usual resolution that you play on or use?

Have you perhaps updated your display drivers recently, if not, you should probably check if you can.

Did you tweak any settings (can be BIOS settings, game settings, display settings et cetera) before it started happening or did it start happening out of the blue?

I usually play on 1280x1024(the resolution of my monitor). I didn't tweak with any settings but I played some MTA before it started to act like this, and my GPU is so old that driver updates are out of the question.

@horizon Got it to work, had to Alt + Enter so it goes out of fullscreen and I simply changed the resolution. You can lock this.

Neat, was gonna tell you to force it into a minimized window, then changing your resolution.
